Huge interactive sculptures, giant glass globes, automatic filing cabinets, video animation, cartoons, and exquisite automata tell the stories of photosynthesis, the processing of plant materials and plants essential services to mankind.
- The Plant Engine. A 4m diametre glass sphere with hydroponic growing system and video animation demonstrating the principles of photosynthesis. Surrounded by eight exquisite automata and explanatory cartoons by Paul Spooner.
- The Processor. A fantastical 8m tall interactive mechanical sculpture by Rob Higgs demonstrating the energy used to process plant materials. Interpretive cartoons by Tim Hunkin.
- Secret Drawers. Giant filing cabinets that open seemingly randomly to lead visitors through a trail of information and artefacts.
- Locker Room Lives. Personal lockers holding the personal artefacts and thoughts of agricultural workers round the globe.
- Wall of Fridges. Simple magnetic messaging board made from 300 redundant fridge doors. Features photobooth that produces IDea Cards.
- Four static display cabinets housing artefacts, hand made models and video interpretation.
