The National Museum of Science and Technology of Spain (MUNCYT) is a state-owned museum managed by the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology. MUNCYT’s mission is to contribute to the scientific and technological education of Spanish society, making this understand, appreciate, use and develop the knowledge, attitudes and methods of science.

The main objectives of the museum are to help popularize science and improve science education for all citizens, and to preserve the heritage of science and technology. In addition to exhibits of all kinds on display in tje offices and associated facilities, MUNCYT acts as a venue for conferences, scientific and leisure activities, educational workshops, collaborates in the training of teachers of science, publishes catalogs and popular works, and many other initiatives.

The MUNCYT is intended to be a showcase of Spanish science, promoting awareness of the activity of the national research and acting as a social reference and meeting point for science and technology.
