NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida acts as America’s gateway to space. From launching the first Americans into space from Cape Canaveral, to launching humans to the moon, the Center has launched and carried the dreams of a nation. Kennedy is also home to NASA’s Launch Services Program. This program is responsible for launching satellites and robotic missions on journeys to learn more about our home planet and to unlock the secrets of the universe. Since 2011, the RoboThespian Max-Q has been the figurehead of NASA’s futuristic Cape Canaveral base. Installed under his own personal mini-Hubble, Max answers questions about the Hubble Telescope and how astronauts live in space.
