About This Project

RoboThespian arrived at the Heinz Nixdorf MuseumsForum in Paderborn, Germany, to celebrate the 100th birthday of Alan Turing, the famous British mathematician and computer pioneer. The Heinz Nixdorf Museum is the world’s largest computer museum and has a programme of events throughout 2012 celebrating the life and work of Alan Turing. The 5,000-year history, present and future of information technology is depicted over 6,000 square metres of floorspace, from the origins of numbers and characters in 3,000 B.C. all the way to the computer age of the 21st century. The 2,000-plus exhibits on show are presented in the broad context of social and economic history, ensuring that the exhibition is not only of interest to computer specialists.
